Rapid detection of Acanthamoeba cysts in frozen sections of corneal scrapings with Fungiflora Y.

We read with great interest the article by Shiraishi et al who have described a good technique for the laboratory diagnosis of Acanthamoeba cysts in corneal scrapings of patients with clinical features of Acanthamoeba keratitis using Fungiflora Y (FFY). We would like to share some of our comments related to this study.
