Exxon Green Lights Advanced Plastics Recycling

Exxon Mobil is adding one of North America’s largest advanced recycling facilities to its Baytown, Texas reOning-petrochemical complex, with start-up targeted by end-2022. The facility will deploy a proprietary chemical process that breaks down plastic waste into its molecular building blocks, and use those feedstocks to create virgin-quality plastics and other products.
