WAITING TIME ANALYSIS OF A BATCH ARRIVAL QUEUE UNDER A WORKLOAD CONTROL

We study the waiting time of the M~x/G/1 queue under a workload control. The server begins to serve the customers only when the total workload is greater than a predetermined threshold value. We first derive the LST of the waiting time of an arbitrary customer. Then, we derive the mean waiting time. As special cases, M/G/1 and M~x/M/1 queue under the workload control will be explored. Finally, the effects of the workload control on the mean waiting time will be discussed.
