Biological fertilizer has been identified as an alternative to chemical fertilizer to increasing soil fertility and crop production in sustainable farming. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects effect of chemical and biological fertilizers on growth of Jatropha curcas. The experiments were performed to study the effect of different concentration of chemical and biofertilizer on the growth of Jatropha curcas, an oil crop. It was carried out in 5 treatment combinations and three replications. Biofertilizer such as vermicompost, VAM, Azospirillum and phosphobacteria were mixed with different ratio are studied. After three months, plants were taken for evaluate root length, stem length, root biomass and plant biomass for each treatment. The results obtain from chemical and biofertilizer are same, where biofertilizer produce healthier stem and plant. Compare to all the treatments, T3 treatment was recommended to use in the field, because this treatment shows prominent growth, healthy stems and root and high root length, this will facilitates more moisture absorption and withstand in drought conditions.
