Blowing the whistle on the Health and Social Care Bill

There are some things the Secretary of State and I can agree on; for example, not all of the health and social care reforms being suggested are bad for our health. There is a need for change, and any nurse who feels that this is not required should take a long, hard and honest look at service provision in 21st century Britain. The Secretary of State also needs to do this; he rightly celebrates the major advances in medicine and technology, but fails to mention the outstanding care that most nurses strive to deliver day in and day out in the face of adversity.
