摘要

For providing information on the optimum tune of planting and the likely consequences of early or late planting of different potato varieties as well as the effect of harvest at different durations, a simple decision support tool was developed. The tool consists of a database of simulated yield at 5 different dates of planting and 4 crop durations viz. 60,70,80 and 90 days derived through infocrop-potato model. The data were generated by running the model under potential conditions for five dates ofplanting and for all the ten popular Indian potato varieties. The weather data for each were location generated through MARKSIM weather generator for the weather input A user interface was developed in Visual Basic to access this database. The methodology of development of the data base and the user interface have been discussed.
