Pilot: Care Makers in a CCG

Compassion in Practice was launched in 2012 by Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer, England (NHS Commissioning Board, 2012). Its underpinning values are what are now commonly known as the 6Cs: care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment. 'Care Makers' were also introduced in 2012-volunteers who act as ambassadors for the 6Cs and are made up of colleagues from the health and social-care sector.
