摘要

In the paper, an efficient dynamic antenna subset selection scheme is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems in correlated channels. This dynamic scheme selects proper antenna subsets at both the transmitter and the receiver ends based on the product of the norm and the sum of squares of uncorrelations among rows (columns) in the channel matrix. Consequently, the use of the proposed antenna subset selection achieves a substantial saving in system hardware complexity of the multiple radio frequency (RF) chains associated with multiple antennas without compromising overall channel-capacity performance.
