Osteoporosis and falls: some further considerations for the nursing profession.

I found the article very informative and factual and believe that it provides an excellent snapshot of osteoporosis for nurses and other interested health professionals. Statistics released over 10 years ago estimated the cost of osteoporotic fractures to the NHS as standing at pound1.8 billion (Dolan and Togerson, 1998). This cost is almost certainly higher today to the NHS, thus articles raising this issue and promoting nurses to adopt a proactive management role are welcomed additions to the literature. I do, however, have two points that I would like to raise.
