Finite Element Analysis of Continuous Confined Strip Shearing (C2S2) Process

In this study effects of upper and lower die fillet radiuses on the degree of deformation of pure aluminum (A199.99%) sheet in C2S2 process are studied using simulation technique. Results are critically investigated in terms of stress, strain, and thickness variation in the processed sheet. The study provides valuable guidelines for the die design of C2S2 process.
