摘要

The need for an efficient technique for compression of Images ever increasing because the raw images need huge amounts of disk space seems to be a crippling disadvantage during transmission & storage. Even though there so many compression technique such JPEG already present a better technique which is faster, memory efficient and simple surely suits the requirements of the user. Here we proposed the novel technique called Lossy Block Based Binary Plane Technique for color images. This technique is simple in implementation and utilizes memory efficiently.
