摘要

This paper deals with the voltage sag mitigation using the single phase Z Source Inverter based Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR). Voltage sag is one of the most common problems faced by the utility industry. DVR is a series connected custom power devices used to compensate the power quality problems. It compensates the sag in voltage by injecting an AC output voltage in synchronism with the voltages of the distribution system. Z source inverter is introduced to enhance the voltage compensation capability of DVR and to ensure the constant dc link voltage. Sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique is used to generate the gate pulse. The proposed system is simulated using Matlab/Simulink and the simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
