Automatic Counting and Sizing of Airborne Ferromagnetic Particles

摘要

A continuous and automatic instrument for counting and sizing airborne ferromagnetic particles has been developed. It measures magnetic flux variations caused by ferromagnetic particles crossing a search coil; the size of the particles is derived from pulse height analysis. The response of the instrument is linear over a wide range of particle sizes; particles down to 10 mgr; in diameter can be detected.
