Imperial condenses Kearl oilsands project into two phases.

Canadian Imperial Oil plans to complete its under-construction Kearl oilsands project in two phases, rather than three. The installation of 345K b/d of production capacity is still on target for 2020. Each of the two phases will add a 170K-b/d bitumen separation and treatment train, and debottlenecking work will be carried out after each train comes online.
