Quantumhyphen;Mechanical Properties of a Onehyphen;Dimensional System Composed of Hard Spheres

摘要

The stationary state wave function for a onehyphen;dimensional system of hard sphere particles in a box is known to be a determinantal combination of single particle wave functions. The timehyphen;dependent wave function corresponding to a certain class of initially prepared states is shown to be a determinantal combination of single particle timehyphen;dependent wave functions. The motion of the center of gravity of such a system of particles is especially simple.
