The effect of the rotational temperature of the O2molecules on the glory structure in the total collision cross section has been observed for O2ndash;Ar and O2ndash;Kr systems. For O2ndash;Kr the effect has been well characterized by the comparison of the cross sections with those for Arndash;Kr system. The cross sections with O2molecules at a rotational temperture of sim;900 K are close to the atomndash;atom results, while the cross sections with O2at low rotational temperature of 10ndash;150 K show a modification of the glory structure due to the anisotropy of the interaction.(AIP)
