According to the Standardization Administration in China, diesel fuel will be required to meet National-3 standards from the beginning of July. China's National-3 standards, which are similar to Euro-3 requirements, dictate a sulfur content of less than 350 ppm, regulate the maximum polyaromatics, and set the cetane value and cetane index at a minimum of 49 and 46, respectively. The new regulations follow a shift to National-3 standards for gasoline in Jan. 2010.
