Risk-averse control of a three-dimensional wear process

The problem of maximizing the profit obtained by using a machine until it is worn out is solved explicitly in one special instance. The performance criterion takes into account the risk sensitivity of the optimizer, who is assumed to be risk-averse. The method of similarity solutions is used.
