Disgust and Psychopathology: Introduction to Part II of the Special Series

In this second issue devoted to the role of disgust in psychopathology, we have the opportunity to examine how disgust operates in a wider range of disturbance beyond phobic avoidance. In the prior issue, attention was paid to disgust in phobic problems, largely arising from the work of Matchett and Davey (1991). It was in this vein that disgust was shown to operate through a disease-avoidance mechanism.
