Cross sections for direct and chargehyphen;exchange excitation in some alkali ionhyphen;atom collisions

摘要

Absolute total cross sections for inelastic processes in (Liplus;, Na), (Liplus;, K), (Naplus;, K), and (Kplus;, Na) collisions have been measured at ion energies lower than 1.5 keV. Both direct and chargehyphen;transfer excitation have been observed. The results are interpreted in terms of the electronic structure of asymmetric alkali dimer ions.
