Indonesia's state-owned oil company plans to build storage tanks on Sambu Island, Bintan Island, and in Lawe Lawe. Pertamina's chief executive, Karen Agustiawan, indicated that the additional tanks, which will hold both crude and oil products, would help protect the country from fluctuations in crude prices.
