摘要

Clarias gariepinus (Burchell) fingerlings with initial wt. of 21-23 g were stocked at densities of 24m~(-3), 48m~(-3) and 72m~(-3) in three separate tanks and cultured for about 11 months. Final wt. achieved were 352 g, 1000 and 730g in 24m~(-3), 48m~(-3) and 72m~(-3) stocking densities respectively. The highest growth was observed in the stocking density of 48m~(-3) as against the lowest growth in the density of 24m~(-3) and medium growth in the stocking density of 72 fishes m~(-3).
