The Government’s much-anticipated national dementia strategy (Department of Health, 2009), which was launched in January, marks a significant change in the way dementia care is viewed in the UK. The Strategy sets out 17 recommendations under four themes, which have the potential to revolutionize how we care for people with dementia in the UK.
