摘要

Propofol (2, 6-di-isopropylphenol) emulsion supports bacterial growth and endotoxin production, as once the ampoule is opened, unused portion should be discarded after 6 hours. If diluted solution is needed, it is compatible with 5% dextrose in water(Short and Bufalari, 1999). Thiopental either did not support bacterial growth or is bactericidal (Crowther, et al, 1996).
