摘要

Birds of 26 broiler farms in 5 districts of West Bengal were examined for infectious bursal disease (IBD); 23 and 2 farms were positive for clinical and subclinical IBD, respectively, on the basis of clinical, macroscopic, microscopic and serological tests. In clinically affected farms the mean morbidity and mortality percentage were 42.89+-3.62 and 19.28+-1.63, respectively. While morbidity rates were uniformly distributed, mortality rates were significantly higher in poor husbandry conditions; unvaccinated farms and in the flocks with concomitant diseases.
