Therapeutic efficacies of piperazine and levamisole against Ascaris suum infection in pigs

Therapeutic trials of Piperazine salts and Levamisole against Ascaris suum in pigs indicated that both piperazine (100 percent) and levamisole (97.96 percent) have desired therapeutic efficacies against the parasite. However, the use of levamisole is to be preferred over piperazine salts as it has no apparent side effects whereas piperazine may sometime induce transient diarrhoeic effects during treatment.
