The US-based barge operator has begun transporting crude oil from the Midwest to the US Gulf Coast in order to help ease the widening spread between crudes in the two regions. The lack of pipelines coupled with the oversupply of crudes in the Midwest has created a glut of crude oil in the region and an uneven distribution of crudes within the nation.
