The incidence of fracture in dogs has increased in recent years due to increase in population of dogs, greater awareness among the public about the veterinary services and increased vehicular traffics (Aithal et al., 1999). The incidence of fracture and their management in dogs have been reported (Thilagar and Balasubramanian, 1988; Balagopalan et al, 1995). Two hundred and twenty eight cases of pectoral limb fractures subjected to radiological examination in the small animal clinics of the Madras Veterinary College, from April, 2000 to March, 2002 are analysed and presented in this paper.
