Leukemia is the malignant neoplasm of haemotopoietic stem cells which originate in bone marrow. The bone marrow is diffusely replaced by neoplstic cells giving rise to leukemia Lymphosarcoma with leukemia is one of the most common forms of cancer diagnosed in dogs. The average age of dog with leukemia is between 6-9 years although dogs of any age can be affected. Males and females are equally at risk. In most cases, the cause of leukemia cannot be ascertained but viruses have been incriminated with the demonstration of reverse transcriptase activity (Jones and Hunt, 1998; Vegad and Katiyar, 2000).
