Asymptotic Coriolis Interactions in Slow Atomic Collisions

摘要

In slow atomic collisions there appear formal longhyphen;range interactions between axishyphen;coupled (BO) states due to asymptotic Coriolis interactions, which behave asRminus;2. These interactions have been considered by a number of workers. In this paper is it shown that these longhyphen;range interactions are usually of trivial significance and can be ldquo;ignored.rdquo; An error in the asymptotic correlation proposed earlier by us is corrected.
