Electromagnetichyphen;acoustic coupling at the surface and in the bulk of ferromagnetic metals at liquidhyphen;helium temperatures has been studied using electromagnetically excited acoustic standinghyphen;wave resonances at MHz frequencies in a number of ferromagnetic metals and alloys of commercial interest. The experimental results are compared with similar measurements at room temperature in the same and in different samples as well as with existing theoretical descriptions of the phenomenon.
