SHORTHAUL INTERMODAL OPERATIONS ADDRESSED AT INTERMODAL ASIA 2014

Michael Pal, of Fremantle Ports, presented a case study titled 'Shorthaul Landside Sea Freight Intermodal Operations' at Intermodal Asia 201 4, which took place from 1 -3 April at the Shanghai World Expo Center. The case study looked at whether it is possible to make intermodal rail profitable at distances of under 150km and how rail can grow against significant odds. It also addressed supply chain environmental changes and other governmental policy change.
