Borouge continues to move forward with Ruwais PC expansion

The Abu-Dhabi-based PC firm,a j.v.between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.(ADNOC)and Borealis,has awarded contracts to Make Tecnimont,TechnipFMC,and WorleyParsons for work to support a mixed-feed cracker being built as part of the fourth phase of the Ruwais PC complex.Borouge said this mixed-feed cracker will produce 1.8MM mt/y of ethylene,making it the largest mixed-feed cracker in the world.The plant will run a wide range of feedstocks,including ethane,butane,and naphtha coming from ADNOC's refinery and gas processing facilities.
