Laserhyphen;excited fluorescence measurements have given rate constants for the vibrational deactivation of NO(vequals;1) by NO, He, and N2, and for theVsngbnd;Vexchange between CO(vequals;1) and NO(vequals;1) in the temperature region 100ndash;300deg;K. Relaxation was caused entirely by bimolecular collisions. Deactivation rates of NO(vequals;1) by H2O, D2O, NO2, CH4, C2H4, C2H6, and C4H10, and of N2(vequals;1) by NO and CO(vequals;1) by NO2and N2O4were measured atTequals;298deg;K.
