High resolution (0.14 Aring; FWHM) photoionization efficiency data forC2H2+near the threshold (1059ndash;1090 Aring;) have been obtained using the molecular beam method. The positions of the autoionization features resolved on thev2=0vibrational step ofC2H2+(Xtilde;thinsp;2Pgr;u)were found to be consistent with those calculated from the two Rydberg equationsngr;n=93thinsp;770minus;lsqb;R/(nminus;0.95)2rsqb;cmminus;1,ngr;n=93thinsp;770minus;lsqb;R/(nminus;0.36)2rsqb;thinsp;cmminus;1,whereRandnare the Rydberg constant and the principal quantum number, respectively.
