New Equation for Surface Tension near the Critical Point

A new modification of the Eouml;tvouml;s equation is proposed for the region close to the critical point. It is used in conjunction with the empirical Parachor equation to obtain reasonable values for the two critical exponentsbgr;andmgr;, and compute coexistence curve slopes which are in excellent agreement with experiment.
