In recent years, the demand of aluminum inautomobile has grown up to 8 of automobile raw materials inJapan. In particular, the use of wrought aluminum alloys hasmuch increased. In addition, it is predicted that thealuminization in automobile will much proceed due to fuelsaving and environmental problems in near future. In this paper,recent trend on aluminum alloys for autobody panels is reviwed.Some properties, such as mechanical properties, formability,weldability and surface treatability on recent aluminum alloysfor autobody panel are presented and discussed.
