A comparison between hydrogenic and Thomasndash;Fermi expectation values

TheZdependence of various expectation values is studied for pure and screened hydrogenic atomic models. These results are compared to the corresponding Thomasndash;Fermi and Hartreendash;Fock values, providing insight into the transiton from the regular, exponentially decaying densities of real atoms to theZrarr;infin; Thomasndash;Fermi limit.
