Investment in Resources and Energy Major Projects at Peak

Canberra (ACT), Australia - The stock of investment in committed resources and energy major projects remained at about AUD 268 billion (approx. USD 261 billion) according to a report released on May 22, 2013, by the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics (Bree) of Australia. The number of projects at the committed stage has decreased to 73 in April 2013 as a result of 21 projects being completed in the period. Of the 73 projects still under construction, 40 are minerals projects, 18 are gas and petroleum projects, and 15 are infrastructure projects.
