摘要

Studies have been carried out to come out with a green technology for treating wastewaters from the manufacturing of pesticide and a dye industry using composite, crosslinked and sulfonated membranes by reverse osmosis (RO). Experiments are carried out at various conditions namely feed concentration, operating pressure and their effect on flux and rejection has been studied. Interaction of constituents of the effluent with the membrane is evaluated in terms of rejection performance of the membrane. Importance of RQ as a greener treatment option in treating effluents containing toxic substances such as amino nitrophenol, dinitrophenol, effluents with high pollution load such as pesticide process effluent has been evaluated.
