At the beginning of each new year, coders must review and implement new and revised ICD-9 diagnostic and CPT procedural codes. This article reviews the most important changes for urologic coding in 2008. Urologists and their coders should review and familiarize themselves with these codes and incorporate them into their coding armamentarium and daily encounter sheets.
