Configuration interaction wavefunctions for3Sexcited states of helium

摘要

The method of configuration interaction is used to determine accurate upper bounds of the 23Sto 233Sstates of helium by minimization of the eigenvalues corresponding to one state or a group of states without concern as to the fate of other eigenvalues. The relative importance of radial and angular correlation in triplet state is discussed.
