A better understanding of mechanisms by which chemical species are scavenged by precipitations can be obtained by monitoring concentrations continuously throughout an event. Here is described an automatic sequential sampling station for collecting rain in 0.1 mm increments, without mixing fractions or events. This station have been used in Paris for a year. Preliminary results on a particular event show the interest of this sampling technique when it is associated with complementary data on the aerosol and the meteorology.
