Ulco Cement: a clean winner

AfriSam's Ulco cement plant in South Africa has been improving its environmental performance. Its latest upgrade has helped it to scoop an award from the National Association for Clean Air (NACA). The plant has targeted low NO_x and sulphur emissions, as well as other volatile gases and particulate matter. This has been achieved with the installation of a new Scheuch baghouse with Energy Minimising Concept (EMC) technology.
