Analysis of the Screw Conveyor Process in Mammoth Silos

Today, mammoth silos are widely accepted as large storage facility for various different bulk materials such as coal, chemical and agriculture products. Similar to open storage systems, mammoth silos can be used not only for storage but also for blending. In addition to offering the same functionality as open storage facilities, mammoth silos have the advantages of no spontaneous heating of coal, storage on a small ground area, protection of the environment against dust emission and protection of the stored products against climatic effects. An important part of the mammoth silo is the screw conveyor used for a controlled input and output of the bulk material.
