The technical focus of THIELE's most recent development was to craft a forged chain to offer long wear life and the most maintenance-free application as possible. Therefore, THIELE's high-grade bucket elevator HLB-WG chain is especially designed to handle abrasive and/or hot bulk material with variations in lump size from fine to rough. The real wear is found primarily in the track joint area and externally on the contact area between the bushing and sprocket, where a surface friction is generated between the pin and the bushing as the chain passes over the sprocket. If the joint area is additionally loaded by particle dust, the elongation through wear will be heavily increased.
