Dong-hai bridge

摘要

Dong-hai Bridge is a series of concrete bridges which will provide the land link from the Shanghai seaport city of Lu Chao to Yangsan Island in Hangzhou Bay, where one of China's newest and biggest deep water harbour is being built. It consists of low-level land and sea bridges, and four high-level bridge. The total length of the bridge is approximately 32km with the majority being low level bridges. The bridges is built and owned by Tongsheng Company and has a design life of 100 years. Shanghai Research Institute of Building Research Institute of Building Sciences (SRIBS) collaborated with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia in providing a holistic design for durability programme, which incorporates a service-life design model, performance-based specifications and quality system for the Bridge.
