Highhyphen;field Ohmic contacts to semiconducting SrTiO3single crystals

We have demonstrated a reliable way of making Ohmic contacts to semiconducting strontium titanate using evaporated titanium films. The contacts are Ohmic in low and high electric fields and can support current densities of 108A/m2. It is possible to form Ohmic contacts on strontium titanate having a wide range of carrier concentrations produced by a number of different techniques. Using these contacts we have observed current saturation in high applied electric fields at low temperature.
