Comment on: On the Chapmanndash;Enskog solution method for mixtures lsqb;B. C. Eu, J. Chem. Phys.74, 6373 (1981)rsqb;

摘要

A recent criticism by Eu of the Chapmanndash;Enskog method of solution for the mixture set of Boltzmann equations is reexamined. His proposed alternative is shown to be based upon a set of linear equations that in general has no solution. The new approach proposed by Eu is appropriately corrected and shown to be less general than the Chapmanndash;Enskog method and contained within the latter as a special case.
