This paper investigates the excitation of magnetostatic surface waves in the multilayered structure consisting of a ferrimagnetic film sandwiched between two metalhyphen;backed dielectrics. The analysis takes into account the effect of finite width of the ferrimagnetic film. Numerical results have been presented for a wide range of parameters. The inclusion of the width explains the finite radiation resistance observed at lower cutoff frequency of the surface wave.
